CLS Install Privacy Policy

CLS INSTALL is an application designed to configure your CLS’ beacon and to allow firmware and zone management. Through this application you can save your configurations and zones into your profiles to re-use it.

The purpose of this application implies the processing of some of your personal data. Thus, this privacy policy explains how CLS collect, use, store, and protect your personal data.

The support (phone, tablet…) on which you have installed the CLS INSTALL application is call hereafter “your device”.

An user account for the CLS INSTALL application is created via a secure platform owned and hosted by CLS.

2. Collected Data and Purpose of Processing

We collect only the data necessary for the proper functioning of the application and to comply with regulatory requirements.

COLLECTED DATA

PURPOSE OF PROCESSING

First name, last name Apply to CLS for access to the application.
Geolocation Geolocation is collected only for versions of Android OS equal or under 11. Geolocation is collected in order to allow the use of device’s Bluetooth. For versions of Android OS equal or over 12, Geolocation is not processed by CLS.
Metadata

CLS has to collect:

  • the version of your OS (Android or iOS)
  • the country of use of your device
  • the model of your device

This data is necessary for Google Analytics and Crashlytics. No other use is made by CLS.

 

3. Access to Device Functions

CLS INSTALL requires the following permissions:

  • Bluetooth: to communicate with CLS beacons
  • File Access: importing files into the application
  • Internet: retrieving files from the CLS server and authentication of the user

⚠ Regarding File Access: the application only accesses files necessary for the purpose of CLS INSTALL (CLS beacons installations). It does not explore or collect any other files from your device.

 

4. Legal Basis for Data Processing

In compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we process your data based on the following legal grounds:

  • Contract performance: CLS INSTALL functionalities.

 

5. User Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access: Obtain a copy of the list of data stored about you.
  • Right to rectification: Correct any inaccuracies.
  • Right to erasure: Request deletion of your data when legally applicable.
  • Right to restriction of processing: Temporarily limit data processing under certain conditions and if it’s possible with the use of CLS INSTALL.
  • Right to object: Refuse the processing of your data in specific cases when legally applicable and if it’s possible with the use of CLS INSTALL.
  • Right to data portability: Receive your data in a structured, commonly used format.

6. Data Recipients and International Transfers

Collected data is processed and stored by CLS.

Your Metadata is collected through CLS for Google Inc.

Transfers outside EU

Metadata may be transferred outside the European Union (EU) due to the use of Google tools (Google Analytics and Crashlytics).

 

7. Data Security

We implement strict measures to protect your data:

  • Secure access: Authentication via login and password through a specific authentication platform owned and hosted by CLS.
  • Encrypted communication: Use of a CLS-generated token for internet communications.
  • Secure storage: Data centres in France (CLS).

Google Firebase user accounts are strictly controled by CLS.

 

8. Data Retention Period

Your data is stored for the duration of your use of the CLS INSTALL application until you delete your account.

Data processed through Google Firebase tool is stored for 14 months.

10. Changes to the Privacy Policy

We may update this policy due to legal or technical developments. Any significant changes will be communicated through the application.
