This international event\u00a0aims to bring together entrepreneurs, students, developers, creatives&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>For 24 hours, teams will work on challenges proposed by various companies, with the support of business and technical experts, to imagine products and services, based on <strong>spatial technologies\/data<\/strong>, that will be useful in everyone&#8217;s life.<\/p>\n<p>The winning teams will be able to participate in the national and international finals and all promising projects can benefit from advice from the partner <strong>incubators<\/strong> and thus transform their project into a real company.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/q_1OvslycIQ\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<\/div>\n<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cls.fr\/en\/cls-group\/\"><strong>CLS<\/strong><\/a> is a partner of this event and propose three challenges to the candidates:<\/h2>\n<h3>Wildlife under threat! How can we protect endangered species?<\/h3>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.argos-system.org\/\"><strong>Argos<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0beacon is a unique satellite-based location and data collection system used for environmental protection. Thanks to this system, animals can be monitored (migrations, habitats, breeding grounds).<\/p>\n<p>This challenge consists to imagine new ways to use <strong>Argos<\/strong> beacons to improve <strong>wildlife protection<\/strong>. You can use any type of data and environmental reports related to <strong>Argos<\/strong> data.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><a class=\"button\" href=\"https:\/\/actinspace.org\/challenges\/every-day-life-business\/use-argos-tags-to-track-and-protect-wildlife\">Discover this challenge<\/a><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>New Argos : new\u00a0challenges!<\/h3>\n<p>Since thirty years, thanks to <strong>Argos<\/strong> beacons, we were able to locate and collect data for different applications: animal tracking, fishing, oceanography, transportation\u2026 Long before <strong>Internet of Things<\/strong>, Argos was the Internet of space! <strong>Argos<\/strong>\u2019 operation is based on a satellite constellation which collect beacon\u2019s signals and retransmits them to receiving stations with an average revisit time of approximately one hour.<\/p>\n<p>The system is poised to become even more effective with the new Argos project: IoT platform, real time, more data, bidirectional link.\u00a0This challenge consists <strong>to forecast<\/strong> the new potential uses of this tool: connected agriculture, connected transport, fight against environmental crime&#8230;<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><a class=\"button\" href=\"https:\/\/actinspace.org\/challenges\/be-a-newspace-actor-space40\/argos-new-generation-connecting-planet\">Discover this challenge<\/a><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Reduce the environmental impact of maritime traffic using the AIS satellite!<\/h3>\n<p>As a specialist of <a href=\"https:\/\/maritime-intelligence.groupcls.com\/\"><strong>maritime intelligence<\/strong><\/a>, CLS is renowned for the reliability of its data concerning maritime traffic.\u00a0Using <strong>AIS<\/strong> (Automatic Identification System) technology, CLS provides a boat tracking system which constitutes a valuable ally as regards safety issues, economic intelligence and the fight against pollution.<\/p>\n<p>Given that globalization has generated an increased trade, the need for maritime transport has also increased significantly, generating harmful impacts on the environment.<\/p>\n<p>To tackle this challenge, you need to think of potential new applications that could use the data provided by a combination of \u201cOpen data &amp; AIS\u201d, i.e. data from AIS technology combined with other types of data of your own choice, to reduce the environmental impact of maritime traffic.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><a class=\"button\" href=\"https:\/\/actinspace.org\/challenges\/every-day-life-business\/low-impact-travel-make-cruising-greener-than-travelling\">Discover this\u00a0 challenge<\/a><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ActInSpace\u00a0is an innovation contest (Hackathon)\u00a0initiated by the French Space Agency\u00a0(CNES) uniting over 60 cities across 5 continents.
