By using CLS\u2019s\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1em; text-align: justify;\">world-wide operational satellite solutions for early warning of hurricanes or for\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1em; text-align: justify;\">managing emergency aid vehicles. A closer look at these operations.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">In 2006, the typhoon Chanchu proved\u00a0<span style=\"line-height: 1em;\">devastating when it killed many fishermen.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1em;\">The Vietnamese then decided to equip\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1em;\">themselves with a CLS solution: Movimar. This\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1em;\">advanced technology has coupled a fishery\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1em;\">surveillance system with another for sending\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1em;\">early warnings of typhoons by satellite. <\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"line-height: 1em;\">3000 Vietnamese fishing\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1em;\">boats are equipped with\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1em;\">the CLS early-warning system\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1em;\">for typhoons.<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"line-height: 1em;\">Three\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1em;\">surveillance centres in Vietnam keep watch\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1em;\">over the boats and their environment.
