{"id":233539,"date":"2015-05-19T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2015-05-18T22:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cls.fr\/cls-the-first-french-collaborative-sentinel-1-receiving-station\/"},"modified":"2026-01-15T16:05:39","modified_gmt":"2026-01-15T15:05:39","slug":"cls-the-first-french-collaborative-sentinel-1-receiving-station","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cls.fr\/en\/cls-the-first-french-collaborative-sentinel-1-receiving-station\/","title":{"rendered":"CLS,  The first French collaborative  SENTINEL-1 receiving station"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>CLS\u2019s VIGISAT station, based in Brest (France), receives images from the Sentinel-1 satellite constellation.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a style=\"text-align: justify;\" title=\"image radar satellite\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cls.fr\/en\/expertise\/vigisat-sar-station-network\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"dofollow noopener noreferrer\">VIGISAT<\/a><span style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0becomes the first French collaborative station and will continue to provide data and products with near real-time positioning services and sea states measurements for maritime surveillance applications.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-align: justify;\">From the beginning, CLS has been involved in the Sentinel -1A mission. Indeed, CLS contributed to the development of S-1 processor through the conception and development of Ocean level-2 products to measure sea surface conditions, as well as sensor performance monitoring under the &#8220;Sentinel-1 Mission performance Centre&#8221; ( MPC- S1) , located in CLS Brest.\u00a0Since the beginning of 2013, CLS manages and operates the Sentinel-1 Mission Performance Centre in partnership with top-level experts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With Sentinel -1 and CLS expertise , We now have the opportunity to observe the earth and get radar images of any place of the world.
