A location tag provided by CLS has been active on Aquarius since March 19th

Since 19 March, a location tag has been provided by CLS to SOS Méditerranée to allow them greater responsiveness during operations at sea.

Since the 2000s, CLS satellite services operator and value-added service providers have been assisting international authorities and private actors. The purpose of maritime surveillance is to understand, prevent where possible, and comprehensively manage all events and actions which take place into the maritime domain and could have an impact on the safety and security of goods and people, law enforcement at sea, defense, border control, protection of the marine environment, fisheries control and the economic interests of the states.


 

 

The Triton Beacon is a CLS range locating beacon used on boats for marine safety applications.

 

 


CLS, operator of satellite services and value-added service providers, works with the international authorities (customs, coastguard, national navies, multi-state maritime safety agency) and private actors of the maritime domain (freight companies, insurers, buyers, etc.) in their missions of safety and security, pollution control and economic intelligence.
