CLS Oceania Pty Ltd is a subsidiary of the CLS Group (www.cls.fr/en) with offices in Melbourne and Hobart providing satellite-based products and services (air-time and value added) for various applications such as monitoring, tracking and data collection. Clients consists of government, educational/universities, research institutes, regional secretariats and private companies.

We are seeking a fulltime person to further enhance and develop the Fisheries market in Australia and in the South Pacific region. CLS is present in most of the Pacific Islands directly and indirectly where commercial large-scale fishing vessels utilises the CLS’Vessel Monitoring System (VMS).

Our direct clients are regional fisheries management organisations or fisheries bodies in the region where our products are type approved for VMS. We are also AFMA type approved for commercial fishing vessels licensed to operate in Commonwealth, State and Territory waters.

 

Responsibilities include (but not limited to)

  • responding to enquiries from existing and potential clients
  • sales and marketing
  • presenting and setting up at exhibition-conferences-workshops
  • liaising with local and regional resellers-distributors and certified installers
  • when necessary, answer first level support queries

On the job training relating to CLS products and service will be provided during the probationary period at our Melbourne office and additional training if required will be at any of our regional offices in Asia or at our head office in Toulouse, France.

The position is a combination of sales and technical within a fisheries monitoring, conservation, management, control and surveillance environment where inter-state travel will be required. Overseas and regional travel may also be required following permanent placement.

A propos du profil recherché

Trade or Degree qualifications in Engineering, Business, Marine Science, GIS or related disciplines that meets or exceeds the job description.

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Proficiency with Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Word, Office 365

Australian citizen or permanent resident.

National Police Check will be required.

  • Other languages such as French or any other languages spoken in Southeast Asia are a plus.
