  • CAMBIOS cruises
    (PI: Fabienne Gaillard, LPO/IFREMER)
    •   R/V Thalassa

    Fabrice Hernandez was onboard the R/V Thalassa during the CAMBIOS-97 cruise

    Sylvie Giraud was onboard the R/V Thalassa during the CAMBIOS-98 cruise

     

    During each cruise, people from the SOPRANE project provided the CAMBIOS cruise scientific teams with QG model real-time analysis and forecast. These forecasts allowed to have a first guess of the eddie field.

     
  • Use of CANIGO in-situ data

    As part of the SOPRANE SHOM project, Eric Dombrowsky and Sylvie Giraud have used the CAMBIOS hydrographic data in real time, in order to compare and validate the QG model forecast with the "real ocean" observed onboard the R/V Thalassa.
