CLS's position as an interface between the maritime industry, operationnal oceanography and oceanographic research is fundamental to its approach to regional modelling.
Indeed, CLS relies on acknowledged experts from partner laboratories for the scientific evaluation of a project. It then uses its own in house expertise to transform a product developed by the research community into an operational product. This step requires a careful appraisal and validation of the product. In terms of model, this means that CLS will objectively assess many configuration before choosing the one that its best suited to its customer's needs.
